Project Manager in Water and Sewage

Do you want to help build the city underground? As our new project manager in Water and Sewage, you will play a key role in developing and renewing the infrastructure in Strängnäs.

You will lead our investment projects focusing on the renewal of the pipe network. In close collaboration with both the operations organization and contractors, we develop sustainable and efficient solutions.

Water is our most important resource and the source of all life. In the Water and Sewage business area, we provide the residents of Eskilstuna and Strängnäs with the water they need daily. In the Project and Investment department, we work with planning and execution of larger investments and projects within the Water and Sewage area, in both Eskilstuna and Strängnäs. We are in an expansive phase with a great need to renew and upgrade existing facilities, and that’s why we need you!

Your Responsibilities

You will help drive development forward for both the business and society at large. In our strategic partnering, you will work in an integrated organization with operations, construction management, and executors. The dialogue is open, and we build strong relationships to achieve common goals. As a project manager, your role is to:

• Ensure project progress including scheduling, cost monitoring, project documentation, and ongoing dialogue with the steering group.
• Ensure necessary documents, consultations, and permits.
• Contribute to good dialogue and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Education and Previous Experience

We are looking for someone who can effectively drive projects forward with a good ability to balance the needs, demands, and financial frameworks of different stakeholders, while also seeing the big picture. You work in a structured manner and ensure that the team delivers according to the schedule. Your leadership is crucial for creating well-functioning Water and Sewage systems today and for the future.

You have:

• Relevant professional experience as a project manager in water and sewage-related issues, alternatively as a site manager, project engineer, design manager, or production manager in civil engineering with a good understanding of technical standards for water and sewage systems.
• Preferably a post-secondary education relevant to the role. This could be in road and water, civil engineering, or similar, with fundamental knowledge of contracts, construction law, and other regulations governing water and sewage projects.
• Experience working in partnering is a plus.
